Senate leaders extend condolences to DiPrete family

STATE HOUSE, Providence – Senate leaders today offered their condolences on the passing of former Governor Edward DiPrete.

“The Senate extends its deepest condolences to the DiPrete family and their many friends and loved ones during this very difficult time,” said President of the Senate Valarie J. Lawson.

Added Senate Majority Leader Frank A. Ciccone, III, “Governor DiPrete was a longtime member of the Italian American War Veterans of the United States, Post #8. We remember his service to our nation and to the state as we in the Senate join all the members of the Post #8 in extending our sincere condolences to the DiPrete family today.”

Leader Ciccone is a former National Commander and Post Commander of the Italian American War Veterans of the United States.
